Más de 50 deportistas participarán en torneo de tenis de Olimpiadas Especiales

El próximo miércoles 26 y jueves 27 de julio se realizará el torneo inclusivo de tenis, organizado por Olimpiadas Especiales Chile.
Tras el exitoso paso de la delegación chilena por los Juegos Mundiales de Berlín 2023, la tarea deportiva debe continuar. Por ello, este 26 y 27 de julio, en el club deportivo Los Dragones, en la comuna de La Reina, se llevará a cabo un nuevo abierto de tenis de Olimpiadas Especiales Chile.
El torneo tendrá 21 tenistas en el área competitiva, sin embargo, también se realizará una clínica deportiva que contará con 41 deportistas. “Siempre apuntando a la inclusión y al igual que años anteriores, Olimpiadas Especiales quiere que más personas con discapacidad intelectual se sumen a realizar actividad física y deportes. Queremos proporcionan entrenamiento deportivo y competición atlética durante todo el año, por ello es que tenemos distintas actividades a lo largo del segundo semestre”, señaló Javier Piñeiro, director ejecutivo de OE.
Deportistas no sólo de Santiago participarán de este torneo. Desde la comuna de Hualqui, octava región, viajará la deportista, Camila Molina. Conversamos con su madre, Silvia Rocha, quien nos manifestó lo importante que es para su hija poder participar de este torneo. “Es muy importante que Camila participe y que pertenezca a Olimpiadas, ya que ahí descubrió su amor por el tenis. Pese a las dificultades ella quiere ir a Santiago y además encontrarse con sus amigos del tenis allá. Ojalá nos resulte todo bien”.
La actividad cuenta con el apoyo de la Federación de Tenis de Chile, de la Corporación Deportes y recreación de La Reina, de la academia Tenis Zone y Coaniquem.
