MÁS DE 200 ATLETAS PARTICIPARON EN EL EXITOSO TORNEO METROPOLITANO ABIERTO DE ATLETISMO DE OLIMPIADA

Un éxito de convocatoria se experimentó en el Torneo Metropolitano Abierto de Atletismo, celebrado en la comuna de Conchalí. Este evento reunió a 238 atletas representando a 20 instituciones de diversos colegios diferenciales de la Región Metropolitana. Además, contó con la participación de 75 voluntarios comprometidos con el evento.
Bajo el auspicio de la Ilustre Municipalidad de Conchalí, la Federación Atlética de Chile y el Instituto Profesional AIEP, este torneo no solo fue un despliegue de habilidades atléticas, sino también un testimonio del respaldo institucional a la promoción del deporte en la comunidad.
En un emocionante giro, la atleta Isidora Jiménez, reciente participante en los Panamericanos Santiago 2023, se sumó al evento, elevando aún más el prestigio de la competición. Además, aprovechó para felicitar a la institución por pasar a la etapa final y convertirse en la opción preferida para ser sede de los Juegos Mundiales de Olimpiadas Especiales en 2027.
Asimismo, la atleta Ana Palma, quien obtuvo el tercer lugar en la competencia de 100 Mts Planos, expresó que “no solo yo gané, sino que mi colegio también ganó”, agradeciendo a sus compañeros y profesores de la Escuela Nueva Esperanza.
En relación con esto, el director ejecutivo de Olimpiadas Especiales Chile resaltó “la importancia de crear oportunidades para todos” y señaló que este evento no solo celebra la excelencia atlética, sino que también promueve la inclusión y el respeto mutuo. Agradeció a los 75 voluntarios "cuyo compromiso ha sido fundamental para el éxito de este evento que va más allá de la competición, dejando una huella duradera en la comunidad deportiva inclusiva”. Este Torneo Abierto de Atletismo no solo fue una competición deportiva, sino un catalizador de la camaradería entre los jóvenes atletas de la región. La energía en el estadio reflejó la pasión por el deporte y la unidad de la comunidad atlética. Agradecemos a los participantes, instituciones colaboradoras y voluntarios que hicieron posible este evento, consolidándose como un pilar en el panorama deportivo regional. En Chile, hemos beneficiado a más de 5000 deportistas, apostando por el deporte como una herramienta crucial para la inclusión de personas con discapacidad intelectual. El deporte no solo promueve la salud física, sino que también desencadena una serie de beneficios que contribuyen a la inclusión social y al bienestar general.
