Carrera por la inclusión de personas con discapacidad intelectual une a 15 países de Latinoamérica

Chile estará presente en la iniciativa, a beneficio de la ONG Olimpiadas Especiales a nivel nacional y en Latinoamérica.
La actividad espera movilizar a 20 mil personas de toda la región, durante los días 3, 4 y 5 de diciembre.
Se trata de Corporate Challenge, una carrera que permitirá recaudar fondos para la inclusión de personas con discapacidad intelectual en Chile y el resto de la región, a beneficio de la fundación Olimpiadas Especiales.
La carrera se llevará a cabo desde el 3 de diciembre, día internacional de las personas con discapacidad, hasta el 5 del mismo mes, en conmemoración del Día mundial del voluntariado, fechas indicadas para generar conciencia sobre la inclusión.
El evento consiste en recorrer 5K o 10K (kilómetros) caminando, corriendo o en bicicleta, a través de una aplicación que registra el trayecto por GPS. También es posible hacer el recorrido en caminadora o en incluso en casa, registrando el avance manualmente. De esta manera, se busca movilizar a más de 20 mil personas de toda América Latina.
La iniciativa está abierta especialmente a grupos y empresas, como una opción de involucrar a sus colaboradores en una actividad de integración y responsabilidad social.
“Es una oportunidad única para que las empresas sumen y motiven a su personal, por medio de una acción que promueve hábitos saludables y contribuye directamente a la inclusión, tanto dentro como fuera de la empresa”, explica Javier Piñeiro, Director Ejecutivo de Olimpiadas Especiales Chile.
Para tal fin, la fundación Olimpiadas Especiales ofrece diversas alternativas de patrocinio, que permitirán que el personal de la empresa pueda participar en la carrera.
